I recently finished post production on the Seattle Children’s Hospital: Everyday Heroes 1 hour special produced by Kim and Tim Griffis of Northwest Video Edge. They did a fantastic job of telling the inside stories of the individuals and departments that make Seattle Children’s Hospital such a special place in our community.
The special was hosted by KOMO 4’s Molly Shen who lead viewers through the warm and caring story behind Seattle Children’s Hospital. This was a summer-long shooting project for our videographer Nick Junke. Seemed like everytime I looked, Nick was off to Children’s for another day of filming. Additional shooting was done by Tim Griffiths and Mark Nazarino with Jordan Woodworth as grip. Using the Panasonic AG-HVX200, HD video was captured in 720P on P2 memory cards. Tim and Kim expertly wrote, produced and edited the show in their own studio.
The project came together smoothly as the finished elements were delivered to me for post editing. Everything was very well organized by Tim and Kim which made my job a snap. After their packages were ingested into our system, I assembled them together and added opens and transitional elements to complete the show.
A special thanks goes out to everyone at Seattle Children’s Hospital for helping coordinate and execute a project of such magnitude. Seattle Children’s is a valued partner and KOMO 4 is proud to be aligned with such a well respected organization in our community.
